Question: How does this Social Sports thing work?

Answer:

United Social Sports operates a lot like the sports leagues of your youth. We bring friends and groups together to compete in a wide range of sports and activities. Most of our leagues are 8 weeks long with a final championship tournament and end of season party, though we also host one time events as well. From softball, to skeeball, to scavenger hunts, U.S.S. organizes the events so all you have to do is show up and have fun!

Question: Why should I join United Social Sports?

Answer:

United Social Sports understands that for most people joining a sports team is about hanging out with your friends, having a good time and meeting some new people. We strive to keep the games fair and stress free so you can do just that… socialize and have a good time!

Question: How much does it cost to join U.S.S.?

Answer:

Registration dues vary by sport and location. U.S.S. strives to keep dues low while still providing a quality experience for our members. Most leagues range in cost from $25 – $55.

Question: I have some friends that want to play, how do we get on the same team?

Answer:

When you go through the registration process there will be the option to join as a group. If that group gains enough players who have completed registration your group will be bumped up to team status automatically. If you don’t gain enough players you will simply be merged with another group. This is a great way for you to meet new people while stilling experiencing the season with your current friends!

This is awesome, I can definitely fill my own team. How do I start one?

If your joining an established league that is maxed out for teams you may not be able to start your own right from the beginning. If there is high demand for team slots a waiting list will be created, otherwise you can join as an individual or small group or even find another night that’ not mixed out. Otherwise you can simply create your group and start recruiting your friends!

Question: What if I don’t know anyone else in the league… can I still play?

Answer:

Absolutely! Nearly all of our sports allow for independent or free agents to register and get placed on a team! If your new to an area U.S.S. is a great way to meet a ton of fun people quickly.

Question: How many players are on each team?

Answer:

Team size varies for each sport/league. For a group to be promoted to team status they must meet an auto-promotion number. Players must be registered and paid to count towards the auto-promotion number. Once a group has the required number of players registered and paid they will be promoted to “team status”. When a group has reached “team status” their spot is reserved in that league under their group name. Being promoted to “team status” does not guarantee that players from another group or free agents will not be added to your team. Free agents and other groups can be added to a team at the discretion of USS until the team has reached the roster maximum for players.

Question: What if I don’t like my team?

Answer:

Lots of people join U.S.S. for different reasons and sometimes you may find yourself on a team that you just don’t mess with. No worries, shoot your league commissioner an email and we will find you a new home!

Question: What is your refund policy?

Answer:

Our general policy is that refunds are not available. Often our rosters have limited space and last minute cancellations hinder our ability to properly plan and organize the season and our leagues.

If you are unable to participate after completing the registration process we are able to transfer your registration to a future season!

Question: How do I join?

Answer:

To register select your league and desired sport. Open seasons will have a large red “register” button that will take you to our player registartion process. Click through the links and you will be guided through the process. If you have any questions email us at info@unitedsocialsports.com

Question: Is your payment processor secure? Do you accept checks?

Answer:

Absolutely! We use PayPal as our processor, but don’t worry, you do not need a PayPal account to utilize the service. Simply follow the prompts at the end of your registration to pay with your debit or credit card.

If you’d prefer to pay by check please have checks made out to United Social Sports LLC and email your commissioner to make arrangements for delivery!
